The Tacoma Dome Station Garage across the street is usually free - but for Tacoma Dome Events they will charge. We cannot control this but you can try telling them you are coming to Freighthouse, not the Dome - but we can't guarantee they won't charge.

The Painting Panda Pottery Studio L.L.C. is a family-owned business located in Tacoma, WA. We specialize in creating a fun and interactive environment for our guests to come in and paint their own pottery. Our family-friendly atmosphere encourages creativity and exploration for all ages. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, we have something for everyone! We offer a wide selection of bisqueware, glazes, and tools to help you create a one-of-a-kind piece. Come in and explore your creative side with us today!

Owners

Born and raised in Kentucky, Herschel Wilson is a college grad from Western Kentucky University as well as from Indiana University - Purdue University of Indianapolis. After working in the corporate world for Lockheed Martin as well as Lowe's Corporate, Herschel moved from Indianapolis to Albuquerque, to Seattle. Finally settling in Tacoma with a wife, 3 kids, 2 cats, and a dog. His dream of owning a business was fulfilled when he made the steps of starting and funding The Painting Panda Pottery Studio. He then partnered with his wife, who is the creative genius behind the business, and played an integral part in the company's name.

Noelle Wilson
Co-Founder/COO

Born in South Korea and raised in Indiana, Noelle is a graduate from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and holds a Master's of Social Work from Indiana University. Noelle has worked in numerous non-profits but has made most of her career working in higher education at various colleges and universities. Proud mother of 3 daughters, she stays busy taking care of her family and enjoys gardening at home. An avid frequenter to paint-it-yourself studios in Indiana, New Mexico, and Washington, as well as a lover of pandas - it was a given that she would help give light to the name and business concept. In concert with Herschel, Noelle helps to provide the creative vision to the business and interfaces with customers most frequently. She helps to make painters feel welcomed and inspired when they visit the studio.
